Privacy notice

How we collect, use and protect your personal information under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Who we are

ATTTACA, the Association of TVET Trainers and TESDA Accredited Competency Assessors, is the personal information controller for the data described in this notice.

What we collect

  • Applicants and members: name, sex, birthdate, civil status, contact details, address, employer and position, years of experience, ID photo, government ID, and copies of your certificates and accreditations.
  • Event registrants: name, email, mobile number, organisation, and answers to the registration questions for that event.
  • People who contact us: name, email, mobile number, and the content of your message and any attachment.

Why we collect it

  • To process membership applications and maintain the member register
  • To issue and verify member IDs
  • To verify credentials and remind members before they expire
  • To register people for events and check them in
  • To answer inquiries and concerns

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which we record with the date and the version of this notice you agreed to, and where needed to carry out our obligations to you as a member.

Who sees it

Only authorised officers and secretariat staff, and only what they need for their role. Each time someone opens a member record, the system records it. We do not sell personal data. We share it outside the association only when the law requires it or when you agree to it.

The public verification page reached from your member ID shows only your photo, name, member number, membership status and verified credentials. It never shows your contact details or birthdate.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member, and afterwards only as long as needed to meet legal and audit requirements. Applications that are not approved are deleted after a set period.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to object, to have it corrected or erased, to data portability, and to claim damages. You can download your data from the member portal and ask for it to be deleted. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

How we protect it

Uploaded documents are stored privately and opened only through short-lived links. Access is limited by role and logged.

Contact

Our Data Protection Officer is the association's Vice President. Write to them from the contact page and choose the topic "Data privacy".
